Soooo… this happened, followed, I imagine, by Kaidan and Garrus engaging in a backseat slap fight over who would try to wrest the keys to the Mako from Shepard. To wit:
Garrus: You have to take them away from her. She LIKES you. *insinuating tone* Kaidan: Does not! Garrus: Does too! Shepard: Quiet back there, or someone will be walking. Garrus: *whispering* This is the third time today she’s done this. I keep hitting my head on the roof. I think I chipped a mandible! TAKE THE KEYS AWAY FROM HER! Kaidan: *whispering* If Shepard wants to drive, she drives. And I’m not going to tell her she can’t. Do you think she got the name Ugly because of her face? Shepard: I hear talking. Kaidan: … Garrus: … Shepard: That’s much better. Damn it, why aren’t we moving?
EA, taking one step forward and seventy-five thousand steps back.
I’m not sure you’re aware of this, but girls play video games, too.
Just a heads up.
The three female co-mods of Fuck Yeah BioWare
EA and Bioware pls.
You could have just said “Games for Dads” and saved yourselves a bunch of shit.
I’m not sure whether to sob or scream. I may do both. Possibly while Biotic-Charge/Nova-ing the shit out of things in ME3.
Though from the point of view of an old fart someone who has lived to see the dawn of the personal gaming console era (so to speak), it’s really interesting to watch. Every time there’s a rise in awareness that female human beings enjoy video games of all stripes (even the ones that involve running around war zones shooting things, stabbing things or nuking things with fireballs), there’s an exponential rise in this sort of exclusionary bullshit. Someone out there is feeling reeeeeeeally threatened, I sometimes think, because hey, if they don’t stop trying to drive us out, they might actually have to … y’know, make some kind of effort at least not to be ragingly offensive to women in their games. Which would involve effort, and maybe *gasp* hiring more women writers. Which in turn would mean accepting that women can write things that involve more than romance, which a lot of people (particularly in the sci-fi genre, but that’s a whole other thing) are disinclined to do.
same. man and the very feeling of ‘being over ME’ hurts, because it was my fav series ever and they killed that love with ME3 and all. why ;__; (my love for Liara/Asari will never disappear…
Have to agree with you two, as well. I love ME3, but that ending, the bad PR and then using ‘artistic integrity’ as a bullshit excuse (really, if you were that protective of your artistic integrity, then you wouldn’t have made so many fan service call outs.. Kaidan ass shot, Garrus’ calibrations and every other one in there..) and the shit SL ending that MADE NO EFFING SENSE. I am tired of this MP scam you’re running, and hell, why aren’t the maps updating to SP ME3 for N7 missions?
I hope DA3 blows DA2 out of the water and brings the best of DAO/DAA & DA2 all together.. with a kick ass storyline.. and guest spots by our former companions from the previous games.
Since I’m a bit blank on ideas at the moment, I figured I’d try to get around to looking over how I create Biotic effects as I’ve been wanting to do that for a while, also conveniently taking the time to merge my three separate Kaidan scene files into a single one.
Hopefully this’ll make them a bit simpler to work with.
